Is it just me, or does this statistic seem crazy, absurd, impossible to be true? To put this in perspective; think about a football stadium which holds about 80,000 people. You could seat the wealthiest 2000 people in the world in one small section of say, Arrowhead Stadium and that section on people would own 60% of the entire world’s wealth! From the bottom of South America through Mexico, the United States, and to the top of Canada + all of Europe + all of Africa + Russia + Middle East + China + India + Japan + Australia + + +. (I’m sure most of you reading this could have been spared the Grade 3 geography) But my point is, 2000 people can condense into a small section of a football stadium but have wealth & ownership of more than half the globe, theoretically???
