Immoral or Immoral

Comic #38

Is it immoral to build wealth without regard, or is it immoral “to let a sucker keep their money”? (-Rounders)

In 1600’s Netherlands, as the lore goes, the Tulipmania Bubble was so hot that some Tulips were traded for family-sized homes. One guy during this period took “advantage” of all the loose money by promising an investment idea so lucrative and secretive. His pitch went like this (paraphrasing):

“Bro, this idea is so lucrative I shouldn’t even be talking about it!! But I like YOU so I’m gonna let you in on this financial feast. But PLEASE don’t ask any questions and trust that I know what I’m talking about. This opportunity requires extreme discretion. Stay quiet and we’ll both flex hard.” - Tulip Hustler

Well, only one person got rich in this story lol. This “entrepreneurial” dude got on a ship the next day and was never seen again. (ROLF)

(There are two versions of this gag. One where the sucker is trading in a bag of money to Robbinhell - for the investment opportunity. The second illustration (below) has the sucker trading in a valuable Tulip to Robbinhell. Which plays better?)
