Work Smarter

I think some people take the saying “work smarter” to heart. This gag was inspired by a job I had last year at a golf course. I was hired as a floor manager for the golf course’s restaurant and banquet hall. Early into the job one of the waitstaff caught my ire. The only thing she ever wanted to talk about was money. Money this, money that, and money over everything.

At first, I thought it was a bit endearing. I thought maybe this is a new era of employee empowerment that flexes its collective leverage at every opportunity. By the end, I realized it was no more than outright theft, laziness, and bullying (with some Hollywood sprinkled in).

I took the main character of this real-life drama and added her two best friends to the frame. All sweet people in their own right but just in the wrong place doing the wrong things. Although this gag is totally ‘tongue-in-cheek’ I think Robbinhell would approve of their tactics.
